Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
Journalism was respected in 1970s San Diego. People cared deeply about the news they were seeing on television. Ron Burgundy is the most popular anchorman in San Diego. For the past five years, he has enjoyed his time at the top. His news team is just as talented as him. Champ Kind, a professional jock who was a former baseball player, handles the sports. Brick Tamland, a curiously dim-witted man with limited cable access, handles the weather. Brian Fantana, a ladies’ man with a large collection of exquisite scents, handles on-field reporting. All that’s about to change is the new Channel 4 TV station. Channel 4 TV Station Burgundy is a proud employer of Veronica Corningstone, a new anchor. Ron Burgundy, along with other members of Channel 4’s news team, enjoy drinking and fighting, while Veronica climbs quietly to the top. Ron Burgundy is driven crazy by Veronica’s achievements. Ron is eventually fired by Channel 6 because of Veronica’s interference. Ron is left without a job and must figure out a way back up. This involves reporting on a story about an endangered Chinese panda giving life in the United States. Ron will be reporting the story at a national level. –halo1k
