The Nice Guys
The Nice Guys is set in 1977 Los Angeles. It opens with Holland March (Gosling), a single father who has been licensed as a PI to investigate the suicide attempt of Misty Mountains, renowned pornstar. He follows a trail to find Amelia (Qualley) but he meets Jackson Healey (Russell Crowe), who is a less experienced private eye and more hands-off than he was. Healey and Qualley were both hired by the young hippie. The situation turns sour when Amelia disappears, and it is revealed that March was not the only one interested. Both men will have to work together to defeat a world full of eccentrics, strippers in mermaid costumes, and possibly a government conspiracy. –@onecriticalgeek
