Young Guns

1878, New Mexico. John Tunstall takes young guns from the roads to train them in reading and civilization. He’s also a rival in cattle sales and a problem for Murphy. Murphy’s men eventually shoot him. Judge Wilson cannot do anything because Sheriff Brady is also one Murphy’s men. Alex convinces him to make Tunstall’s friends into Deputies, and to give warrants for their arrest as murderers. William Bonney shoots the five men down, instead of arresting them. The 5 men soon become well-known and William is given the nickname “Billy the Kid”. However, they are also pursued by many Murphy’s soldiers and the army. However, the people honor him for his fight for justice. –Tom Zoerner
