The Lucky One
Logan is an Iraqi marine. He finds an image of a young girl on his back with the words “Keep Safe” printed on it while he is there. When his unit is attacked, he is looking at it. The photo saves him and he survives. He attempts to locate the owner, but he can’t. He returns to America and finds it hard to adapt. He analyzes the photograph and finds a landmark in the background that indicates she’s in Louisiana. He goes to the location and discovers her. He discovers that her name is Beth. He attempts to explain what has happened, but he can’t find the right words. He is there, she assumes. They are looking for someone who will help her in the dog kennel business. She says yes, but she initially feels uneasy. However her grandmother agrees to let him go. He quickly makes contact with her son. The picture was taken by her brother, but he can’t recall who it was. Her brother’s passing has had a devastating effect on him. They eventually get closer, which makes her grandmother content. However, her ex-boyfriend is an officer sheriff and has been threatening to seize their son. –[email protected]
