28 Days Later

A group of animal activists enters a laboratory in the hope to release chimpanzees under experimentation. They have been infected with a virus which causes anger. With disastrous consequences, the naive activists disregard the scientists’ pleas to lock the cages. Jim wakes from his coma alone in an abandoned hospital 28 days later. He sets out to search for other people to help him find London, which is apparently deserted and without any living beings. He runs after he finds a church that has been inhabited by zombie-like humans who are determined to kill him. Selena, Mark and their son bring Mark up-to-date on all the horror and mass destruction that took place in London. It is an inspiring tale about survival, and heroics. There’s also a nice undertext about the savagery of mankind. –Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
